Milestones

Creation and first patent of the central tourbillon. The origin

Marco Tedeschi, still an engineer student, conceived and patented a central tourbillon. Not a one-off complication. A blueprint for a vision. A mechanical language that has defined everything that follows, grew into a full horological ecosystem, guided by a roadmap written from the very first movement.

Creation of Kross Manufacture: The Structure

Marco established a fully verticalized manufacture, bringing together all aspects of watchmaking under one roof. This approach allows the team to transform ideas into reality, giving shape to complex concepts and elevating his vision of horology to a new artistic dimension.

Engineers, watchmakers, designers, and artisans collaborate seamlessly, ensuring every detail, from movement architecture to finishing, becomes a deliberate expression of art.

Creation of Kross Studio: the expansion

First collaboration with Warner Bros.

The first creation emerged through a collaboration with an entertainment giant, Warner Bros. Together, they brought to life the 1989 Batmobile Desk Clock, a desk clock featuring an exceptional 30-day power reserve. This unique piece combined engineering precision and artistic vision, marking the beginning of Kross Studio’s journey to transform horology into functional art.

release of the first watch with the central tourbillon conceived in 2006

In collaboration with Disney & Lucasfilm, KROSS STUDIO presents its first Collector Set, a Death Star Central Tourbillon watch alongside an authentic kyber crystal movie prop from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, housed in an Imperial kyber crystal container.

The Batman Collector Set

In 2022, Kross Studio developed a new in-house caliber, the KS 7’001, featuring a new peripheral time display. To bring this movement to life, the manufacture chose The Batman Collector Set, pairing the watch with a functional Bat-Signal, an exact replica from The Batman movie.

release of the first watch with the patented central floating tourbillon

By positioning the regulating organ above the movement, Marco Tedeschi opens up the view across the entire construction and enhances its mechanical legibility. This original architecture introduces a new approach to watchmaking composition, where the tourbillon becomes both the technical point of balance and the visual center of the watch.

Game of Thrones Collection

The first collaboration to feature the central floating tourbillon movement was the Game of Thrones Collection, bringing the fiery legacy of House Targaryen to life through a unique fusion of myth and mechanics.

This collection is a series of unique collector sets, each composed of a central floating tourbillon watch paired with a sculptural dragon egg functional art piece, creating a fully immersive and collectible experience.

Enhancing In-House Craftsmanship Capabilities

In 2024, a new chapter unfolded within the manufacture with the creation of the Decoration department. This dedicated atelier brings all finishing and artisanal decoration in-house, ensuring that every detail, from movement bridges to cases, becomes a deliberate expression of craftsmanship and artistic vision.

Kross Studio joins Watches & Wonders

In 2025, Kross Studio made its debut at Watches & Wonders Geneva, presenting its creations to a worldwide audience and reinforcing its presence among the world’s leading haute horlogerie brands. The brand showcased its innovations and artistic vision, offering collectors and enthusiasts an immersive experience of Kross Studio’s philosophy of Functional Art in watchmaking.

MT1: Le tourbillon 7 jours

Introduction of a new caliber: a 7-day power reserve flying tourbillon. Built on Marco Tedeschi’s mechanical language, it bears the same way of rethinking watchmaking rules from the book and expresses a singular construction philosophy where Form Follows The Movement.

First time Marco Tedeschi signs his name on a dial.
